Antwan Horfee Studio Visit

Last summer (2018) we visited the studio of internationally acclaimed Parisian artist Antwan Horfee.

Inspired by historical avant-garde art movements such as the Gutai and Cobra groups, and Tachisme, as well as the world of tattooing and vintage cartoons, Horfee’s practice spans a diverse range of mediums: paintings, sculpture, animation, printed matter, VR and more.

His paintings feature an abstract take on figurative motifs somehow suggestive of 20th century animation and Japanese manga, coupled with a bold pictorial use of color and stratified compositions with a characteristic sense of depth.

Forever expanding his creative outlets, Horfee also moonlights as a tattoo artist.
